Choreographer Nunzio Impellizzeri will hold a choreographic residency for professional dancers. A daily class will be followed by improvisatory and compository tasks.
Nunzio Impellizzeri will investigate different moving topics around the subject of loss, focal point of his new creation WAY OUT.
The focus will be set on melting the physical skills of the dancers with emotional layers. Participants will create and express their own story; stories will be deconstructed and rebuilt in order to create duets, trios and larger pictures.
The participation is free of charge.
The workshop ‘s aim is to share an experience of artistic exchanges and to identify dancers for a possible increase of the dance production. Female and male dancers with strong ballet, contemporary technique and improvisational skills are very welcome to apply.

NUNZIO IMPELLIZZERI - After finishing his studies in Visual Art and Costume, Nunzio Impellizzeri went on to further his skills in his passion for ballet and contemporary dance. He danced for the Compagnia Zappalà Danza, in Sicily, in Spain with the Compañía Metros Dansa, in Austria and Switzerland for Jacqueline Beck and Kinsun Chan, in Germany for the Augsburg Ballet and Stadttheater Kempten Allgäu. Nunzio Impellizzeri worked as a choreographer with the Theater Company Gruppo Iarba, the Genius Loci and Studio Ferrera in Italy. In Switzerland he created for Gisela Rocha Dance Company, Staatstheater Cottbus, Cinevox Dance Company, for Zurich Tanz-Theater-Schule and for SSZ-junior Dance Company. He choreographed for the dance platform 12 Min. Max. at Tanzhaus, Zurich and for the Faa-zone Dance Company.
He was one of the 6 internationally selected choreographers in Siwic 2010 (14 Swiss international Coaching Project Choreographers) directed by Reinhild Hoffmann, and in 2013 participated in ChoreoLab ‘13 Zurich & Warsaw directed by Tanzhaus Zurich and Centrum W RUCHU Warsaw. Nunzio was twice awarded the first prize at the international choreographic competition “Ballet-ex” in Rome.
Since 2014 he is the artistic director and founder of the Nunzio Impellizzeri Dance Company.
