ABOUT THE WORK

HAPPENING is a meeting between dance, music and architecture.

The creation is conceived as SITE SPECIFIC. The Performance is born in and shaped by the place that it hosts. Firstly created in 2016 for the opening ceremony of the Landesmuseum Zurich, it was then reworked for the Museo d'arte di Mendrisio and Palais de Rumine in Lausanne.
The presence of dancers and cellist in an architectural space creates a counterpoint that converges with Bach's music. The audience itself composes and influences parts of this piece. The bodies moving in independent melodic lines, are combined with, play with and are influenced by the space.
