ABOUT THE WORK
Venice, hospital of Pietà on a Sunday in 1716.
Women behind a grate perform the dance of their absence / presence.
They are young orphans trained in the arts, in violin and bel canto.
They are called Putte or choir daughters.
Their talents are cultivated within the cloister of the Church of Pietà.
